Childbirth Education: Epidural Edition

Private One on One Class
These classes are available as a private or small group class and
classes take place at our downtown location.
Group Class dates available for this one day course.
Saturdays from 10am to 5pm with a break for lunch
Group classes include 6 hours of instruction time scheduled in a one day class on Saturdays, for your convenience. This class includes in person instruction and activities along with a class booklet for additional self study, handouts and more!
You'll leave this class with the tools and knowledge to feel confident on your adventure into laborland and beyond.
What will we learn?
This fun and informative, IN PERSON childbirth education course covers all the basics PLUS in depth discussion on the topics YOU want!
The class size is limited to allow for discussion and SOCIAL DISTANCING!
Masks are required.
Things we'll discuss:
Understanding Anatomy and birthy terms.
Labor & birth! What happens? How's it feel?
Low intervention vs Medically managed labor. What's the difference?
Decision making and communicating with your provider and care team.
How do you know it's labor?
When to go to the hospital?
What to expect once you get there.
Understanding inductions and interventions.
Understanding your options and preferences for your birth.
Comfort measures, epidural and pain relief options.
Planning for Postpartum
PLUS time set aside to talk in depth about the things that interest you MOST!

Meet your instructor
Samantha Steen is a certified birth doula, childbirth educator, Lactation Counselor and Spinning Babies® Parent Educator. She has been serving families in our community for years. She's a Mom of 5 kiddos and 3 furbabies. She enjoys sarcastic humor, nerdy t shirts, loads of coffee and dreams of one day retiring to an off grid cabin to enjoy the simple things in life.
